THE NEXT GENERATION BEETHOVEN FESTIVAL

FOTA's annual Beethoven Festival is a wonderful way to spend a Sunday afternoon and introduce new generations to Ludwig van Beethoven's exquisite classical music. The Festival this year, entitled The Next Generation Beethoven Festival, was held on June 1, opening FOTA's season. Concertgoers enjoyed perfect weather and the afternoon was a resounding success.

Exceptional artists and ensembles provided performances in a setting of beauty
at the Planting Fields Arboretum State Historic Park in Oyster Bay, NY. Under the expert guidance of the renowned Bob Sherman, Music Director fror the Festival, guests experienced a wonderful fusion of the familiar and the unexpected, and were able to meet distinguished artists and extraordinary youngsters. Individual concerts ran concurrently during the afternoon, culminating in the Grand Finale in the FOTA Pavilion.

Be sure to return to this page at another time for details of next year's Beethoven Festival. In the meantime, we are pleased to leave this year's program online to give you some idea of the variety of music you might expect to hear and enjoy during this wonderful yearly event.
